Comfortable, Flexible, and Surprisingly Grippy — Even in the Wrong Size
Finding shoes online when you’re an 11½ wide is always a gamble. Half the time I have to guess between an 11 or a 12, and neither option consistently works. This time I got lucky. When I first slid my foot in, I honestly thought I’d chosen wrong again. The heel caught early and I nearly needed a shoehorn to get past it. But after a little push and a wiggle of the toes, my foot settled in perfectly. So if anything, these run a little big — in a good way. The material is a soft, flexible faux leather that adapts nicely to your foot, even if the size isn’t exact. There’s not a ton of arch support here, and the heel bed is more rounded than sculpted, but that’s typical loafers territory. They’re built for comfort, not athletic support. I’ve been wearing them around the house a few hours a day, and they’re very comfortable. Even better, they’ve survived our dogs — who seem to consider shoes part of their personal obstacle course — without a single visible scratch. The stitching is tight inside and out, and the sole is fused to the upper as expected for this style. Speaking of the sole: the traction is excellent. Even on our polished (and currently damp from dog bowls) wood floor, the grip feels secure. The cat is still judging them, of course… but she judges everything new anyway. (See pic.) Bottom Line ✅ Soft, flexible faux leather that fits comfortably even when sizing up or down ✅ Durable stitching and no visible scratches despite dog “testing” ✅ Great traction — even on slick wood floors ✘ Minimal arch support, typical of this style ✘ Fit runs a bit big, so consider sizing accordingly Comfortable, easy to wear, and surprisingly well-built for casual slip-ons.

I tend to stick with inexpensive slip-on shoes, and these fit right into that category. They’re lightweight, easy to get on and off, and comfortable for everyday errands or wearing out to nicer occasions. I wanted something snazzier than sneakers but not full-on dress shoes, and I didn't want to fiddle with laces.
These are fully synthetic materials, but it doesn’t bother me. It looks fine, and I don’t expect leather at this price point.
The fit for me (size 12) was true, but I added an additional insole for extra comfort. I don't walk a ton in my daily life, so that's good enough.
Overall, they look good, feel decent, and match the value I expect in this price range. I'm sure they're not durable long-term, but I’m happy with them and will keep wearing them until they eventually give out.

I tried these PU leather loafers briefly and returned them after comparing them to real leather Florsheim loafers. The PU material feels stiff, doesn’t breathe, won’t break in, and can’t be polished or conditioned. The color also lacks the richness you get with real leather, and I’d be concerned about heel friction leading to blisters.
Both these and the Florsheims needed better cushioning and arch support, so I replaced the insoles with Dr. Scholl’s Extra Comfort. In the end, the material limitations made this an easy return once I tried real leather.
