From April 2018 until April 2023, I purchased 20 Tank tops of a specific brand. I use them as a base layer in winter and for pickleball spring through fall. In those six years the price increased $10, so for the last couple years I have been looking for a less pricey alternative. When I saw this tank top, it looked similar and I decided to give it a try.
As I always do when purchasing clothing, I launder before wearing. This top held up well in a cold wash and a low dry cycle.
For reference purposes I am 5’2”, 125 to 130lbs and generally wear a medium. This tank was true to size.
The fabric, 85% polyester and 15% spandex is incredibly soft and the color is a beautiful lavender. The high neckline is something I look for. When I’m playing pickleball and go for a low ball, I’m not showing off body parts that I prefer to be left unseen.
The tank top is short, but I was expecting that after looking at the photos and the listing does say "cropped".
My only complaint, and it’s a big one, are the odd and large arm holes that flare out at a strange angle under my arm. The unusual cut makes them uncomfortable and much too revealing. Unfortunately, it makes this a total dud for me. I will try to alter them, but I guess this tank top isn’t the replacement I was looking for. Even with the armhole issue, it will still work for layering under a blazer or shirt, and for those who are a less modest than myself.
