For the price, these ebikes from Cybervelo are actually not bad. Setup took about an hour for both and if you have any mechanical intuition it's not hard. My only gripe was that the battery was rattling when riding over bumpy terrain, which got kind of annoying. A fix to this is if you loosen the battery rail and slide it up so it engages tighter with the battery. As far as speed goes, it's plenty fast for any trails or bike paths. I got about 32mph in highest mode while pedaling. I would say the battery life will get you about 25 miles on a charge with mostly throttle. The pedal assist has a slight delay after you start pedaling so it's usually easier to throttle to get going, then continuously pedal. Overall, pretty good power and performance. Update after 4 months: the brakes squeak and there is a little crunching noise in the shifting. Might just need some adjusting after breaking it in. Also, the crank came loose after about 20 miles. So use loctite when installing. Overall, I would still recommend. My parents love them for taking camping and riding around the campground. They even have a little basket for our small dog. She loves it!

    It was easy for me to put together. Super fast shipping, I took it for a test ride. It was easy to master the controls, I am new to ebikes It handles perfectly.Be careful it will get up and go. I look forward to saving money by going electric and doing my daily routine by e-bike. I'm 67 years old.If I can do it , you can do it!. I give the seller and the maker of this bike , a 10 out of 10! very happy , I am very pleased.

    So far assembly has not been as hard as I thought it would be. Materials are sturdy and it was packaged very securely. I look forward to the next set up steps and riding this bike. I am a 72 year old woman and was afraid of not being able to put it together on my own but I am taking it step by step and so far it is good.

    Sold in CA.
    – missing sticker stating e-bike class
    – can't be limited to 20mph using programming option, as required by law. The manual listing the different settings does not match reality. Speed settings don't work as expected.
    – pedelect mode seems to be more some or all. Not linear as other ebikes.
    – most screws needed additional tightening except the handle bar to fol bearing, which was not set really straight
    – battery lock has an on/off position but no function (I added a 48V relay to be able to disengage the battery when bike is parked/locked
    – break calipers needed adjustment right out of the box
    The first two are a real issue.
    The others are to be expected for the price.
    Mechanics overall are good.
