How often should I clean the heater?

Clean every 2–4 weeks with a soft cloth. This prevents scale buildup and keeps heating efficiency high.

What should I check before each use?

Can I leave the heater in the tank during water changes?

Yes, but unplug it first if the water level drops below the minimum immersion line. If you need to remove the heater, turn it off 10 minutes in advance to let it cool down.

Can the heater touch the substrate?

No. Make sure the heater does not touch sand or gravel at the bottom. Uneven heat distribution may cause the glass to crack.

How deep should the heater be submerged?
