Just what I needed for the season

5 out of 5 stars

Just what I needed for the season
For the price, I did not expect this machine to deliver super-fluid motion. I compensate for this lower-end motion of the device by relying more on the arm levers/handlebars which also improves overall conditioning while in motion. Increasing the tension also improves the fluidity of motion, so I am pleased with the cross-trainer functionality. What I am really impressed with is how the equipment was packaged, the details in the assembly manual (that include adjustments and usage), the tools included (worth every penny), hardware quality and part-labeling, round bolt-bumper-covers, and ease of assembly. I could not be happier with the entire experience, sans the cable attachment for the tension control. I found that in order to attach the cable to the tension control mechanism, the tension knob must be set at 1 so that the cable wire is visible and can be attached to the mechanical lever on the base unit. I also twisted the nut below the cable to allow for additional length. Be careful of the wires when mounting the cable attachment (see Step # 2). Connect the wires after the tension cable is set. Also for Step # 6, the pedal hardware order is hinge-bolt->wavey washer->through hinge->through crank-arm->split-washer->nylon-nut. The order was not obvious in the manual to me. The elliptical cross-trainer is easy to move around because it is light-weight and has two wheels attached at the front. Finally, I found that a hard surface provides better stability for the trainer, compared to a carpeted or more flexible surface. Sunny Health provides the workmanship, details and accessories I have not found in other kits. I also purchased the magnetic bicycle and thoroughly enjoy it. The "Exerpeutic" magnetic exercise bike is extremely quiet!

    100 Miles Later, Thoughts–
I feel healthier, I look better, I've burned off some of my too-much-screentime pudge, I have finally grown a fat butt (in the good way).
I started real slow, short bursts, going only until I started huffing/puffing. First time: level 1, 8 mph, made it 0.3 miles. [Yeah, I know, don't shame me.] I have physical disabilities: I cannot bike, run, swim, jump. This is the only repetitive-motion workout (machine) that does not cause me harm.
Careful never to push myself: because if I got hurt using it, I know I would stop using it, for months. Slowly stepped myself up to faster/longer. By one month: level 1, 12 mph, nearly a mile. Now: level 2, 15 mph, 2 miles. [Hey, for someone who has been derelict for 12+ years… Don't judge me.] I use it at least twice a week, before I take a shower, having made it part of my routine. [Or if I am passing by and want to power through a quick mile, if I'm feeling like a fatty.]
This elliptical has a shorter ‘gait’ than others, looks a little odd. Consider: power walking looks silly, yet it works well, which is why people do it: same concept. Shift your weight slightly and use completely different muscles. If getting tired: twist instead at your knees, thighs, hips, waist, shoulders: work more of yourself, differently. Push/pull with your arms instead to relieve some pressure from the legs. An all-around decent workout.
I did not need the Bluetooth-enabled display. I care only about how far I get at what speed, and don't need my phone judging me. [Or any insurance companies buying/selling my exercise progress.] Should you care about such things, or if you require an external source judging you: spend the extra money to track your progress.
The motion is smooth, but occasionally the back-end starts getting a little ‘grindy’ in tone, but that usually passes. I thought I was going to have to grease the gears, so to speak, when it started sounding worse for a few sessions, but that went away of a sudden one day and hasn't returned. The right handle clicks a bit if I grip the top-half, but again only intermittently. [A crack inside the handle, mayhap? Squeeze it just wrong and it can be heard.] Overall, this elliptical is not silent, but also not loud.
Starting out from stagnancy is difficult/discouraging, but worth it, if you keep it up. Make it a part of your routine, do not push yourself too hard, and do not deviate (more than one skip-day here and not-often there). Run yourself a little less hard/long if you don't feel up to it, but do not quit. Quitters only grow fatter assess (in the bad way).
For your health: here is a good, affordable, reliable choice.

    Size: 12" StrideVerified Purchase

Gives me a good workout everyday and I like that I can adjust the tension. I am 5'9" and had some issues knocking my knees on the handles for the first two weeks but now must be used to the machine since that no longer happens.
Agree with other reviews that the assembly is annoying and tricky. Took me 3-4 hours by myself but the instructions are clear enough and the pieces well-labeled. I just took some breaks when I got frustrated before continuing. I haven't hooked up to the software or used the pulse monitor. The built-in screen doesn't always reset for me like it's supposed to so I just use my phone to keep track of my time. It's not a very intuitive program and the manual wasn't super helpful. I bought a mat for underneath the machine since it would likely shift on my hardwood floor otherwise. Machine was quiet when I first started but after about 45 days, there's now a persistent noise with the movement–can't figure out what I need to tighten to quiet it.
Overall, well-worth the price and suits my needs for a daily exercise machine without any bells and whistles.

I purchased this elliptical while I was pregnant because I wanted a low-impact way to keep myself moving, and I still use it regularly. The overall quality really impressed me right out of the box—it feels sturdy, well built, and stable during use. I especially appreciate how smooth and quiet it is, which makes it easy to fit workouts in without disturbing anyone else in the house.
Assembly was much easier than I expected. I’m not someone who enjoys putting things together, but the instructions were clear and straightforward, and the partially pre-assembled frame made the process manageable to do on my own. It felt well thought out from a setup perspective.
The resistance levels offer a nice range, and the motion feels gentle on the joints while still giving a good full-body workout. I like having the digital monitor to track my time and distance, and the built-in device holder is a nice convenience for following along with workouts or just staying entertained.
Overall, this elliptical has been a great addition to my home setup. It’s quiet, functional, easy to assemble, and feels like a solid value for the price. I’m very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, low-impact option for at-home exercise.

For the price and the small footprint alone this machine is worth it. The psychical and mental benefits it’s brought me have been nothing short of amazing. Like so many people, I’ve packed on the pounds during this pandemic not to mention a deterioration in my mental well being. I bought this machine three weeks ago and have used it every morning for an hour before work and sometimes an hour after work. In three weeks I’ve shed 10lbs and my depression has noticeably improved. It is sturdy, well made, and without the operational noises other reviewers have mentioned. It was easy to assemble (by myself) and takes up less room than I expected. If I have to give it one criticism it would be the smaller stride length than that of other ellipticals I’ve tried. It’s about a foot and a half and I’m 5’7” but it doesn’t seem to affect the fluidity of the movement or put undue strain on my legs or joints. I don’t use the moveable handles when I exercise on an elliptical but rather stand upright and pump my arms as if I’m jogging and I usually have on weighted gloves. Not only does the movement feel more smooth and fluid for me but I’m engaging my core the entire time. All in all I would highly recommend this elliptical for those looking for a compact and sturdy piece of exercise equipment that won’t break the bank. Cheers.

    Tips for assembling.

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 22, 2021

I had issues assembling this. Couldn't get the left pedal to screw into the body. Almost sent it back as I was sure the screw was the wrong size after numerous attempts but so glad I didn't. Amazon were very helpful & offered technical help but I managed to do it by myself. I removed all the weight so just tried to connect the arm. I had to re-grease the screw and it screwed in easily. The tension was also a little tricky at first as the directions aren't clear. Make sure you turn the tension knob to number 1. Unscrew the the little nut under the lever enough so that the lever can be screwed down enough so the tension cable can fit in. Then tighten the nut & lever back to it's original position. Make sure you tighten back to its original position otherwise you won't notice much difference in the tension resistance. Other than that, the instructions are good & assembly was ok. Nice & compact size. Easy to move around on wheels but would be a little weighty if you are thinking of lifting to move upstairs etc. Quiet, smooth & sturdy. I would recommend.
